Scalic complexity and the electronic process which heavily controls the timbres. The basis for Aquatales composition is impressions of H.P. Lovecraft, and the Cthulhu mythos. Act I is a heavy melange of sampling and synthesis methods. The notes of a chromatic scale which are organized then reorders and the elements change constantly. Vast sets of notes with different amplitudes creates the supporting textures. An arpeggio which uses the intervals in ascending-descending motion shows itself in the third piece, using electric piano timbres. R’lyeh consists of two similar parts separated with a drone variation. The synthesized pattern which delves into white noises, complete with sampled sea voice repeats in both ends of the composition. Act II, beside the long and atmospheric ocean soundscape, has a bass guitar and Farfisa organ melt together in a tonal condition, with Moog Modular sequences appearing in different parts, and eventually take control of the whole work.
